Changing Lives for Christ... |
For many years Eastland Church has been a dynamic body of people that has carried out innovative ministry in the community, city, state, and abroad. Out of a desire for many more years of even more fruitful ministry, we as a church took the large step of examining where we’ve been, where we’re at, and where God wants to take us. We jump started this initiative by taking part in the Natural Church Development surveys, which Eastland Church members completed and are designed to help churches focus and move forward in mission. Out of the great responses we were able to begin developing a new mission statement that the church could own and that God would use to take us into this desired future.
Keeping Jesus’ “Great Commision” at the core, this mission statement was developed to help us evaluate what we are doing in our ministries, as well as simplifying it so it could be remembered and owned. It is also a mission statement that is focused both on changing lives inside our church, as well as serving and sharing with people outside our church. Our desire is to see Eastland’s ministries gear our thinking toward Jesus Christ, help us develop Christ-centered relationships, and move us to serve and share Him with others.
This is an exciting time here at Eastland Church as we prayerfully look for our new pastor. We have been very blessed and we know that God has that person out there who He is preparing to lead our church where He wants us to go. The leadership of the church feels this is the mission/vision that Eastland Church is to move forward with in all that we do.
